GillTeq manufactures safety related automated cleaning systems (WeirWasher, ACS – Eco-Blaster – Belt Blaster – Weir Rover) for paper mills, chemical manufacturing and water/wastewater treatment facilities. Our original designs were installed in 1994 and have been operating ever since. Through many years of research, development and testing, we have refined our products to their current state.

Over 50 trade secrets and multiple patents are associated with the manufacture and design of the GillTeq products. We have over 35 years of diverse spray, multi-nozzle, dual dynamic spray design applications. These include anything from 1000 psi/500 gpm hot rolled steel plate descaling to high-pressure/low volume roll and felt rotating-dynamic wash/cleaning for paper mills.

Gillteq,LLC. manufactures safety related automated cleaning systems (WeirWasher, ACS-Eco-Blaster-Belt Blaster-Rover Straight Weir cleaning, Stainless Weirs) for Paper mills, Chemical manufacturing, Mining and water/wastewater treatment facilities. I perform the day to day management and operation of the business and directly control the R&D of new products as well as the improvement of the WeirWasher, ACS, Eco-Blaster, Belt Blaster, Stainless Weirs and Rover product lines. In the past I have been involved in heavy industry primarily focused on the integration of operational practices relative to the MTBF/R of 500-20000 HP rotating equipment and their associated systems. Experience: US Navy Nuclear Power Program Graduate, Nuclear Quality Assurance Supervisor, Navy Special Forces training Alternate Energy Expert-Biomass Co-generation, Geothermal, Wind power, Mining, Tire burning/incineration Co-generation, Integrated Systems optimization, pulp/paper mill maintenance and design, pump/turbine/vacuum/blower engineering and design improvements relating to hydraulic and dynamic forces in regards to rotor stiffness improvement/metalurgical-composite substitution/critical speed/hydraulic efficiency etc...analysis on all high speed rotating equipment. Provided engineering assistance, service/repair and designs to +40 mines, +40 oil refineries, 15 sugarmills, 35 geothermal power plants, 7 nuclear facilities, 3000 wwtps, 200 water tp, 40 chemical plants, 3 merchant marine cargo ships, 30 industrial food plants, 20 animal processing plants in 21 countries and 4 continents having driven near 2 million miles and flown over 3 million miles. Upgraded designs of legacy equipment to advanced materials and current hydro-dynamic standards using advanced materials from peek, graphalloy, graphite, etc wear rings/bearings to Nitronic 50, 28% chrome, etc... on saltwater, mining acidic hot slurries, wastewater injected into geothermal pressure fields and other rare operational material and hydraulic engineering improvements. Designed one of the first remote hydraulic well fracking trailer mounted Bell helicopter turbine driven multi-stage high pressure pump rig in 1997. 35 years of project engineering from 1500 ft long (20ft deep x 10ft wide) design-build foam control systems to process reliability improvement for the largest US computer chip manufacterer applied to every process world wide as well as water usage reduction design for closed loop conversion/implimentation in wet mining, settling tank and heap leach processes specifically addressing work safety. Industry Experiences with GillTeq Automated Cleaning Systems

"Improve safety, reduce maintenance costs, and optimize treatment equipment operation with automation! Grease, Algae, Debris, Scum, Foam, Sludge and other materials can accumulate, diminishing equipment function and requiring regular cleaning maintenance that is both time consuming and hazardous. Automated Cleaning and Control Systems can address the collection areas of the unwanted material with the use of water. These debris control methods use less water and energy, require less maintenance time, and do not use chemicals."

Engineers at Crane proposed the use of a Weir Washer automated cleaning system that would use available non-potable plant water to remove the algae, and other debris, from the surfaces on the clarifier. The other firm provided no solution, siting they didn't believe there was an automatic system that would work as effectively as a manual cleaning."

"Cleaning the clarifier has drastically changed at the Wolf Treatment Plant. It takes about 15 minutes for operators to connect the hose from a yard hydrant to the Weir Washer piping. It operates 2-3 days per week, and allows Hartmann to structure his employees’ time differently so they can take care of small projects they would have been de-prioritized in the past. Hartmann claims that the Weir Washer systems have not only helped make the plant a safer place to work, but they’ve also helped their plant achieve more consistent operation and reduce maintenance. “There’s no good, safe, manual way to clean a clarifier. If you’re looking to keep operators safe, this is a tool that can eliminate the stress and strain involved,” said Hartmann."

The automated cleaning system is a non-contact cleaning approach using non-potable plant water to form a rotational spray. The waterjet action allows uneven and porous surfaces to be cleaned while minimizing the amount of water used." "...the spray cleaning is a viable and effective process to control or eliminate attached algal growth in secondary clarifiers. It also appears to be effective in snail population control in UV disinfection chambers, and in greatly reducing staff maintenance time in facilities with UV disinfection."
